Lindsay Helms, MSN, APRN, FNP-C is an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner with more than five years of experience specializing in advanced aesthetic medicine and facial rejuvenation. With a refined eye for facial balance and a focus on natural-looking results, she combines clinical expertise with an individualized approach to help each patient look refreshed, balanced, and confident.
She believes the best aesthetic results are those that enhance a patient's natural features rather than change them — so Lindsay takes the time to understand each patient's goals before creating a personalized treatment plan.
Neurotoxins
We use Dysport®, a purified neurotoxin that temporarily relaxes the small muscles that cause repeated expression lines. The lines smooth out, and your face still moves naturally.
The vertical "elevens" between the brows soften and smooth, easing the tired or stern look they can create over time.
Relaxes horizontal forehead creases while keeping your brows' natural movement.
Softens the fine lines at the outer corners of your eyes without changing your smile.
Results appear over 3–14 days · Typically last 3–4 months · Appointments from 15 minutes
Dermal Fillers
Restylane® and Revanesse® Versa™ hyaluronic acid fillers replace volume lost with age and add subtle definition, and you see the results right away. We also offer Sculptra®, a collagen stimulator that rebuilds volume gradually over a series of treatments and lasts longer.
Anything from a light touch of hydration to fuller, balanced lips, shaped to your natural proportions.
Adding volume back to the cheeks lifts the midface and softens shadows.
Filler along the chin and jawline adds definition and balances your profile.
Treatment areas personalized at your appointment · Results typically last 6–18 months

Timing Your Treatment
Injectables need about two weeks to settle. If you have skin treatments or a massage on the calendar, here's how to space them out.
Before
Lindsay likes to work with well-hydrated skin, so a HydraFacial before your injections is a nice extra. Recommended, not required.
Had a chemical peel, IPL, or anything else your skin needs to heal from? Wait until it's fully healed before your injection appointment.
Day Of
Lindsay goes over your goals, health history, and plan at the start of your visit, then gets started. Neurotoxin appointments usually take 15 to 30 minutes.
Days 1–14
Skip facials, HydraFacials, peels, microneedling, laser, and IPL. Hold off on massages where you lie face down, too. The face cradle presses right on treated areas while they're still settling.
Day 14 On
Your results have settled, and you're clear to book facials, skin treatments, and massages again.
Safety First
All injectable treatments at Maxará Aesthetics are administered by a licensed nurse practitioner following medically established protocols. At the start of every appointment, Lindsay reviews your health history, confirms you're a good candidate, and talks through the plan with you.

FAQ
Everything you need to feel confident before your first injectable appointment.
Neurotoxins are purified injections (at Maxará we use Dysport®) that temporarily soften the repeated muscle movements behind expression lines such as frown lines, forehead creases, and crow's feet. The injections take just minutes, and results appear gradually over the following days.
Dermal fillers are smooth hyaluronic acid gels (at Maxará we use Restylane® and Revanesse® Versa™) that restore lost volume and shape contours, most commonly in the lips, cheeks, and lower face. Results are visible right away, and the aim is to keep you looking like yourself.
Sculptra® is a collagen stimulator rather than a traditional filler. Instead of adding volume all at once, it helps your skin gradually rebuild its own collagen over a short series of treatments spaced several weeks apart. Results develop over a few months and can last two years or more.
Yes, that's the goal. Your nurse practitioner maps your facial anatomy and starts conservatively, adding more only if you need it, so you look refreshed, not frozen or overfilled.
Most clients describe a quick pinch. We use ultra-fine needles, and numbing options are available for filler appointments. Neurotoxin appointments typically take 15 to 30 minutes.
Neurotoxin results typically last 3 to 4 months, while most dermal fillers last 6 to 18 months depending on the product and treatment area, and Sculptra results can last two years or more. Lindsay can map out a maintenance plan that fits your goals and budget.
Very little. You can return to most normal activities immediately. Minor redness, swelling, or bruising at injection sites can occur and typically resolves within a few days. Just hold off on facial treatments and face-down massages for 2 weeks. We'll send you home with simple aftercare guidance.
Wait at least 2 weeks after any injectable before facials, HydraFacials, chemical peels, microneedling, laser, IPL, or a massage where you lie face down. If you've had a peel, IPL, or anything else your skin needs to heal from, wait until it's fully healed before your injection appointment. A HydraFacial beforehand isn't required, but Lindsay recommends one so your skin comes in hydrated.
No. If you know what you'd like, book that service directly. Lindsay goes over your goals, health history, and plan at the start of your appointment. If you're not sure what you want, book a consultation and she'll walk you through your options. You won't be pressured into anything.
