What to know before your first wax.
We use soft wax for sensitive and delicate areas like the face and intimate areas, and hard wax for larger areas like the legs and back. Both are made for sensitive skin, so they cause less irritation and still remove hair thoroughly.
Hair should be at least a quarter inch long, about the length of a grain of rice. That's usually 2 to 3 weeks of growth after shaving. If your hair is shorter than that, the wax may not be able to grip it.
It can be uncomfortable, especially the first time, but it's brief and manageable. Most clients find it gets easier with each visit as hair grows back finer and thinner. We use techniques and premium waxes designed to keep discomfort to a minimum.
It depends on the area and on your own hair growth cycle. Brow and Brazilian waxes are usually rebooked every 2 to 3 weeks. With regular waxing, hair grows back finer and sparser, so you can go longer between appointments.
Yes. Our waxes are made for sensitive skin, and right after waxing we apply a post-wax serum to calm your skin and reduce redness. If you have specific skin concerns, tell us and we'll adjust the treatment.
Gently exfoliate the area 24 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin cells. Avoid sun exposure, tanning, and retinol products for at least 3 to 4 days before your session (longer is better). On the day of your appointment, skip lotions and oils on the area being waxed. Wear loose, comfortable clothing for body waxing.
